JP Christensen is originally from Nashville, TN and is now co-director of The City Performing Arts Academy in Visalia, CA. Most recently he was seen as an original company member in the Tony Award winning musical "Thoroughly Modern Millie", (winner of 6 Tony Awards, including Best Musical). JP spent four years in Broadway's longest running musical "CATS" in the role of "Skimbleshanks". He has also performed in "Fosse" on Broadway and the PBS special where he sang and danced alongside Ben Vereen, Ann Reinking, and "Cheers" and "Frasier's" Bebe Neuwirth. JP has performed with the world famous "Rockettes" at Radio City Music Hall and he sang for President Clinton at the National Christmas Tree Lighting in Washington, DC. Also, he has danced with the Joffrey Ballet Concert Dancers NYC and has appeared on the Tony Awards, The Rosie O'Donnell Show, The Today Show, Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, Walt Disney World, Tokyo Disneyland, and Opryland USA. JP also teaches nationally and judges for Dance Masters of America. JP is continuing his teacher training under acclaimed teacher Paula Morgan.
JP will be a guest choreographer for the Dance Works competition teams this October.
